Product Updates - 3/31/26 Release
This release focuses on expanding data flexibility, strengthening governance, and introducing public APIs for easier integrations.
New Features
1. New Jurisdiction for National Cases
Firms can now specify a jurisdiction of "National" for any cases tried in federal courts.
- This provides an easier way for firms to denote jurisdictions for case types where the location isn't necessarily a concern, such as federal workers compensation or social security
2. Firms can update their own Case Types and Jurisdictions
We’ve introduced separate listings for public advertising, so firms can now update their case types and jurisdictions that appear on their firm profile and in private networks
- To do so, go to firm profile in settings and check the appropriate boxes. Don't forget to click save!
3. Chat with "Charles" the Case Xchange Help Bot
Charles uses information from this Case Xchange Help Center to aid people in their questions around the site
- Chat with "him" in the bottom right hand corner of any page.
- Ask to submit a ticket for help directly from a human.
Improvements to Existing Features
1. Add Case Type Subcategory
Adding an open text "sub type" enable firm to sub categorize however they see fit
This is most useful for routing rule categorization as it does not yet show up on the case itself for the receiving firm.
Integrations
1. New Public Facing API
We've relaunched our open API schema to be a bit more clear! Documentation is still in process, but we have a sample Postman collection to scaffold off of. Download it here: https://docs.casexchange.com/api-reference
2. Direct Litify Package
Based on recent Litify updates, we now support a sync more in line with Litify objects. Learn more about the configuration here: https://info.casexchange.com/en/help/litify-integration
Bug Fixes
1. SmartAdvocate Cases now Sync on Email Acknowledgement
There was an issue with cases being acknowledged over email now showing up in SmartAdvocate. That is now resolved and any acknowledged case should sync through.
2. Routing Rules Import now includes County
When county was added to routing rules the import template was not updated. This is remedied to include the county field along with the new type category field
3. Firms cannot edit referral instructions on outgoing relationships
Removed the confusing ability to view referral instructions for outgoing relationships. While it appeared that these could be edited, they could not be. Firms are only able to edit their inbound referral instructions.
