Product Updates - 4/14/26 Release
This release focuses on firm branding, deeper integrations, improved data exports, and a range of bug fixes and UX improvements.
New Features
1. Custom Fields by Case Type
Firms can now view and, as the receiver, edit case type-specific fields directly on each case.
- Currently for select case types only, custom fields appear below the existing client/case/firm information sections on both sent and received case views
- Receiving firms can edit these fields via the "Edit Case" button.
- Fields are configurable by request from subscribed customers
2. Heat Map for Firms in Network
The private network map now displays a heat map showing jurisdiction coverage across your network.
- Jurisdictions with more firms in your network appear in darker green; jurisdictions with no coverage appear in light red.
- Access it by clicking "Open Map" in your private network view.
3. Firm Logo Branding
Sending firms can now upload a logo that appears across the platform to strengthen their brand presence.
- Upload your logo in your firm's settings.
- The logo will appear in on your firm's directory listing, your firm profile, and in the settings of firms that receive cases from you.
Improvements to Existing Features
1. Allow Firms to Edit Referral Instructions & Fee Splits for Public Directory Listings
Firms can now manage their referral instructions and fee split details without admin intervention
While firms still cannot list themselves on the public directory, they now can freely edit any qualitative details directly
2. Updates to how Practice Areas and Jurisdictions Appear
Values are now alphabetized for easy reference along with a gold star appearing for headquarter jurisdiction
Along with the heatmap release this should offer a more complete view of firms in your network
Integrations
1. Updated Zapier Integration
The Zapier integration has been updated with new triggers and actions to improve automation capabilities. This is in a brand new version with a separate authentication and still currently being tested. Contact help@casexchange.com if interested in helping to test.
2. Clio Grow Integration
Case Xchange now supports a direct push to Clio Grow, creating an InboxLead automatically. This is a separate integration from the existing Clio Manage connection.Bug Fixes
1. SmartAdvocate Initial Status on Import
There was an issue with cases not having a status when synced to SmartAdvocate making them impossible to update. That is now resolved and users should be able to select a default initial status.
2. Case ID and Reference Number Incorrect in Salesforce Push
Fixed an issue where the Case ID and Reference Number pushed to Salesforce were pulling from the base case rather than the referral. Receivers were unable to access the base case, so these fields now correctly pull from the referral.
3. "Signed" Button Not Visible on Certain Screen Sizes
Fixed a layout issue where users with certain aspect ratios could not see or click the "Signed" button. Scrolling has been added to the dialog window so all actions are accessible regardless of screen size.
4. Case/Client Column Sort Behavior
Fixed the sort behavior on the Case/Client column in the Received Cases view. The column now sorts by the primary case/client name rather than the secondary subtext.
