Status Explanation
Case Xchange's referral funnel is generic enough to work with all case types, but specific enough to still be meaningful
Tracking a referral case is not as simple as it may seem, just like any inhouse case there is a process that all referrals to other law firms go through, and you need to have full visibility into that process to truly understand what your clients are going through. The following table provides the Case Xchange framework around our enhanced referral statuses and serves as a guide on how all law firms, both sending and receiving referrals, can speak towards the status of their cases.
By following these statuses via Case Xchange, a sending firm will never be in the dark or where their case currently stands and it will all pull back into the native Case Xchange Analytics

Sent |
A brand-new yet to be acknowledged referral. |

Under Evaluation |
The referral has been acknowledged and is in the intake/qualification stage. |
|
Investigating |
A referral that needs additional information, or documentation before it can be accepted. |
|
Signed |
The referral turns into a case that the receiving firm is moving forward with. |
|
In Litigation |
A lawsuit has been filed on the case. |
|
Closing |
The case has reached a point where it is clear how it will close and the proceedings have begun. See separate closing sub status chart. |
|
Closed |
The case is completely closed out and no further action will be needed. See separate closing sub status chart. |
|
Rejected |
A referral that has been turned down by the receiving firm. This case can then be resent to a new receiving firm by the sending firm. |
|
Withdrawn |
A referral was taken back by the sending firm due to unresponsiveness or clerical error. This case can then be resent to a new receiving firm by the sending firm. |

The case Lost at trial. |
